A:AnswerBoth are good for what you want. It's just that the SRS-NS7 is more expensive and has better sound and bass for a more immersive experience. So both are great for doing Zoom, the SRS-NS7 is better for movies.
A:AnswerHi,
I own these neckband speakers and have them setup with my sound bar/TV (both LG brand). They will play on both devices, but it depends on your TVs audio out settings, as well as how your sound bar is setup currently.
The Bluetooth transmitter that provides sound from the TV to the Sony neckband speaker is connected to the TV via an optical audio cable that plugs in the back.
Typically, most TVs only have one optical audio out port, which limits you to using one optical audio device at a time. But not everyone sets up their sound bar using Optical audio. Some use an HDMI cable.
To ensure you’ll be able to receive audio to both the sound bar and neckband speaker, review your TV/sound bar setup.
- If the sound bar is connected for audio through the TVs one optical out, audio on both devices can be achieved by purchasing an optical audio splitter for $10-20. This will split the sound signal, and automatically provide sound to both connected devices. The volume level for the sound bar would be controlled by the TV or sound bar remote, while the neckband speaker’s volume is controlled by the buttons on it.
- If the sound bar is connected to the TV via HDMI, you will need to check the TV settings menu and make sure your TV has a sound setting that says something along the lines of “HDMI & Optical Audio Out”. If you have this setting, once selected and setup with the neckband speakers, both the sound bar and the neckband speaker will be able to have independent volume control.
-Lastly, these speakers will connect to any Bluetooth audio device, like your phone, tablet or computer. You may be able to connect them directly to your TV without the wireless transmitter, which is j technically just another Bluetooth transmitter. Check to see if your TV has Bluetooth audio built in. Then, again, check your TV settings to ensure there is an audio out setting that says it will output sound to both the port the sound bar is connected to as well as Bluetooth. For instance, it might say “HDMI & Bluetooth audio out” or “Optical & Bluetooth audio out”.
Finally, I will just say that if you are unsure if this will work for your TV setup, you can always purchase the speakers and try them to make sure they work the way you’re hoping they will. If they work, great! If not you can return them for a full refund to Best Buy.
A:AnswerI didn’t notice that much a difference so I just connect through Bluetooth directly to my Bravia. I think the puck is suppose to have less lag but I don’t notice lag without it. I have the puck under tv ready to go but I have not been using it.
A:AnswerIt will work with any TV with an optical out as it has a Toslink to wireless converter puck it ships with. I think that gives it less delay than bluetooth alone would have.
A:AnswerHi Fred, Thank you for your inquiry! The SRS-NS7 is designed to connect to a TV via a transmitter connected to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal, and it does not support simultaneous connection to another neckband speaker through a soundbar like the HT-8000.
For simultaneous audio output from both the TV and an audio device, the SRS-NS7 can be used with a transmitter connected to the TV's DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal. However, this setup does not extend to connecting multiple neckband speakers through different devices like soundbars.
I hope this helps.

Carl
A:AnswerWe purchased two neckbands as well. We had to buy the connect hub https://www.bestbuy.com/site/mee-audio-connect-hub-tv-bluetooth-audio-transmitter-and-receiver-for-headphones-and-speakers/6261152.p?skuId=6261152 to make it work. Works great, so both my husband and I, can watch tv, with our neckbands, at the same time.
A:AnswerI have a 7.1.4 sound bar system that is connected to my TV through the HDMI Arc port. I added the SRS-NS7 transmitter to my TV by connecting it to the optical digital audio output and powered the transmitter at the USB port of the TV. This provides a signal to the neckband speaker which is independent of the sound bar. I can use the sound bar, the neckbad speaker or both together. If I want to minimize sound for others I just mute the sound bar and listen to just the neckband speaker. It works fine that way but even better when I listen to it and the sound bar as the same time.
A:AnswerHi Frank, Thank you for your inquiry! For clarification, the HTAN7 can only pair to another HTAN7 and not the SRSNS7.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
A:AnswerHi Frank, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, no. The SRSNS7 cannot be paired to each other. If this feature is what you are specifically looking for, we recommend check out our HTAN7 which is capable of pairing the devices to each other.
I hope this helps!

Carl
