- Answer just hook up the ultra hdmi cable to your sony, very simple and turn on your blue ray player and your tv will quickly switch to the input from the player. Once you turn off the player your tv will switch back to your service provider(ie directv, cable or dish)

- Answer Hi, Kym! Yes, you will need to connect to the internet for the apps to appear. However, the screen mirroring app is not included in this model. I would suggest getting a BDP-S3700 or BX370 model instead to use screen mirroring. Hope this helps! -Sam
