• Can some provide FIRST HAND experience to confim that the Sony - UBP-UX80 DOES play SACD and DVD Audio 5.1 via HDMI (to 5.1 receiver with HDMI)?

• It routes the 5.1 signal through the HDMI output which is fine if your receiver or amp has HDMI.

• It plays them through the HDMI output and it seems to be the full resolution that I get from my Oppo bdp103 and my older Sony DVP-CX885v changer. If you want 5.1 surround audio outputs I recommend finding an Oppo universal player on ebay.
