QuestionI have to turn the sound up very, very high on the tv when using this (as compared to regular tv or Direct TV). Connected through HDMI. Any suggestions about why the sound is so low and how to fix it?

- Answer Buy a different 4k player. I have the same issues. Unhappy with the sound myself, and tried 3 different 4k HDMI cables as well.

- Answer No it doesn’t have a timer on the front face. I think you have to get Sony’s ES line blu Ray player to get it. The Ubp-x1000ES.

QuestionI click on an app (or the disc icon), the player seems to think for a moment, the highlight square disappears as if to open the selection, and then the square returns as it I canceled. What the heck is going on? It worked earlier today! Frustrated.

QuestionOn some regular (non-Blue ray) DVD's, like "Call of the wild", the player freezes at the very beginning at the question about which language to use. All functions cease to work, including eject and power off. The only thing that works is unplug and plug.

- Answer You can also play regular Blu-Ray DVDs. But you will not be able to view a 4K Ultra Blu-Ray DVD. Most Ultra 4K Blu-Ray DVD includes a regular Blu-Ray DVD.

- Answer this looks like the first gen 800x from 2018 and if that's the case then no there's no Dolby Vision offered on this. The x800m2 does offer Dolby Vision.
