If you have another platform for streaming 4K content, i.e. Vudu, Netflix, Hulu, etc. you do not need a 4K Disc player to stream 4K content. This Sony player is very awesome and my 4K disks look amazing. Additionally, it comes with a ton of picture codex for viewing many picture and music formats. P.s. if you decide to play a 4K disc or stream 4K, make sure that you purchase a 4K high speed HDMI cable otherwise the disc’s or 4K stream’s HDR content will not display properly.

It has the exact HDRs included in that OLED and will be the most compatible with that OLED. I would not go with any 4K bluray player other than this one if you want to maximize the picture quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is an excellent player for watching 4k movies via disc.You can download the Netflix app straight to the tv and it will stream movies in 4k.Yes it will play older dvd's and upscale to near 4k quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure you plug the HDMI cable from player to an HDMI port on your TV that supports DEEP COLOR. I believe Netflix in now an APP on the current firmware of the player. If not, your TV MUST have Netflix on it. You can play ANY shiny 5 inch disc in the player
