Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the hard disk manufacturers consider 1000MB as 1GB instead of the actual 1024MB. This difference causes the changes in actual volume. In a 1TB hard disk, there will be only 931.30 GB available storage space. It is same for all hard disks. The remaining capacity will be reserved for installed applications (around 5GB), recovery partition (around 20GB) and installed Windows operating system files (around 20GB). Therefore, the total available space in the C: drive will be around 931-45=886GB.
