There is no extra bay to add an additional hard disk drive in the Sony VAIO model # SVE14A27CXH. This model comes with 8GB (4GBx2) having speed 1600MHz and DDR3 type. It can be upgraded to maximum of 16 GB. The computer has 2 RAM slots. It is required to replace both 4GB RAM modules with two 8GB modules to upgrade to 16GB.
