Hi busdriver, the headset can be paired with multiple devices, but can only play music from one paired device at a time. Turning off the Bluetooth function of the currently paired device will make the headphones pair with the last connected Bluetooth device near it. Bluetooth audio devices that can connect to more than one source would use more battery power anyway, as a result of maintaining two connections, it is easy enough to switch to another Bluetooth source when needed.

In my case if I have my smartwatch connected to the headphones then turn on my bluetooth on my telephone the headphone automatically jumps to the telephone and disconnects the watch.
