  • QuestionThe right bud doesn't acknowledge any percentage of power. I also unpaired earbuds and can't get them paired again. Is there a power button I'm to push? At this point, these earbuds are useless

Let's try to isolate and address this problem by following the troubleshooting steps below: Note: When the headset is not worn in your ears for about 15 minutes after being removed from the charging case, the headset turns off automatically. In this case, turn the headset on by tapping the touch sensor of the headset or by putting the headset into your ears. The headset units will also turn on when they are set into the charging case and then removed from the charging case. • Make sure the battery is fully charged. • You cannot turn on the headset when the headset is stored and being charged in the charging case. Remove the headset from the charging case to turn on. • Charge the charging case. • Set the headset units into the charging case, and close the charging case lid. You may be able to resolve some issues by setting the headset units into the charging case. • Clean the charging ports of the headset units and charging case, then set the headset units into the charging case and check the status of the indicator on the charging case. For details, visit the Help Guide of the WF-1000XM5 (can be found in Sony's support website and search for “Maintenance”. • The headset cannot be used during an automatic headset software update. Set the headset into the charging case and close the charging case lid, then wait for about 5 minutes. • Reset the headset. • Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.   • QuestionCan you sleep with these in your ears as a side sleeper?

    • Answer The are too bulky for side sleepers to put you head on but the up ear will be fine. Also the setting on the head will stop or pause the music with head tilt. I use the right ear in bed and it pause when I lay on it.

    • Answer TLDR = YES I use multipoint between an iPhone 12, maybe a 13. It is a work phone and a ZFold5 when I am mobile. At home I connect my laptop and my primary Phone and switch between the two seamlessly. Seamless may have come from practice though so mileage may vary a bit there but the answer to your question is, Yes.

  • QuestionDoes anyone have any experience wearing these for five+ hours? Do they hurt your ears? I bought a cheap pair from Amazon and they are killing my ears. I like the concept of earbuds but I am unsure if they will all cause discomfort, or just the ones I have

    • Answer I work with these on for 8-12 hours and generally speaking with no pain. Your ears may vary so experiment with the different ear tip sizes to find out what works or not. You can also try different brands of ear tips to see if perhaps the sizing they use is different to Sony's. I usually recommend Comply Foam tips.

    • Answer Yes, AND your phone at the same time and dang near seamlessly switch between the two. Now they aren't the Microsoft Certified switching like another primarily office headphone manufacturer but I use the multipoint on these constantly. Honestly I never liked the microsoft cert on my Jabras, I returned them for the normal ones. That was back in the day though.

    • Answer Hi JayDeed, thanks for your question. You cannot connect this WF1000XM5 directly with PS5. You can connect it with the TV that supports A2DP where the PS5 is also connected. However, the audio playback on this unit may be delayed from that on the transmitting device, due to the characteristics of Bluetooth wireless technology. As a result, the sound may not be in sync with the image when playing games. We still recommend using headphones that are designed for consoles such as our INZONE gaming headsets/earbuds (WFG700N, WHG900N or WH-G700). Hope this helps.     • Answer Depends on the source and DAC. For example, you may have a 24-bit FLAC file and these earphones support that bitrate, but if you're using your phone which supports only up to 16-bit, you won't get 24-bit audio.

    • Answer I don't know but I am almost deaf and still I cant turn them up all the way or they are way too loud. When I first got them they were way too soft, but I found that going to the Sony APP and turning on ambient sound control really increased the volume I use both a FIIO player as well as my Samsung s7+ tablet and the sound is more than loud enough with either. You may want to play around with your settings on whatever your using as a player. Try turning Dolby on/off, try different equalizer settings etc. Anyway they are LOUD!!! Gary
