A:AnswerHi JANET, they have almost the same feature. The main difference is the size and weight. The XB40 is bigger and heavier than the XB30. Thanks! ^Ron
A:AnswerI'm pretty sure these will default back to normal Bluetooth transmission. You need both receiver and transmitter to be compatible with APTX in order to see any benefits.
For best results with bluetooth speakers and TVs, I would get a transmitter and speaker that is compatible with APTX Low Latency. Qualcomm recommends a transmission of 40 ms or less in order to make sound and image synchronized.
A:AnswerHi, below are the supported Bluetooth profiles of this speaker. Please check the specifications of your iPod. Thanks! ^Ron
- A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
- AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile)
- HSP (Headset Profile)
- HFP (Hands-free Profile)
- SPP (Serial Port Profile)
A:AnswerWell since your asking to pair your speakers to pair to another speaker I think it's the operator that needs to ask the question is my media device harboring the music connected to all Bluetooth speakers
A:AnswerHi JohnJohn, we cannot guarantee if the XB30 can be paired with non-Sony Bluetooth speakers, as these speakers are designed to work with our own. You may check this link to see how the XB30 performs: https://www.sony.com/electronics/wireless-speakers/srs-xb30 Regards, -Mark

A:AnswerI have not tried through Chromecast. Frankly Chromecast does not work well with Spotify. If I were to connect it would be through my phone-spotify-bluetooth-sony. That works.
A:AnswerIf the music from my phone is playing through the speaker then the call comes through the speaker.. the sound quality is good but the range is not wide..
A:AnswerHi DJENZED, yes. The power required for the unit is DC 5 V (using the supplied AC Adaptor connected to AC 100 V - 240 V, 50 Hz/60 Hz power supply). -Erin
A:AnswerThe remote would e the app. You can change the volume and lighting sequences. Also switch the lights off. The bass/mid/treble can also be adjusted. Along with extra bass on/off.
Must use app for these features.
A:AnswerI have the xb20 and xb30 and I had them paired together and sitting about 30 or 40 feet from each other with no issues. This was in the same open room.
