These are not noise cancelling.

These are not advertised as noise-canceling headphones so they don't block out 100% of environmental noise. However, that being said, they do slightly buffer out surrounding noise. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being no blocking and 10 being absolute blocking of noise, these would be in the 6 range.
