“I need wireless headphones to listen to music and TV via stereo receiver and/or TV will these headphones work or are they only good with Bluetooth devices???? I presently have Sony Model MDR--RF970R but they are wore out.”

This is Bluetooth only so you would not be able to plug it into anything unless you got a Bluetooth transmitter which costs more than just moving up a model.

However, this Sony headphone is compatible with devices that support Bluetooth profiles: A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).-Jerome
