• Yes it does have a mic that works well but it just depends because most consoles don't allow for the headphones to link as a gaming headset. It's possibly on PC though

• I got the Sony mdr-xb950b1 which has a built in mic but it did not work on my xbox for in game chat. Ended up buying a 17dollar boom mic from Amazon. (I am currently running an astro a40 mix amp but hated the awful sound of the astro headphones which is why I bought these mega bass Sony ones) I literally just got the boom mic off Amazon today, plugged it in and it works! Now I tried it quick just going thru the controller and it didnt seem to work idk why. Most likely something in my settings I think. But the built in mic def wont work with xbox. I found someone on YouTube that addresses this issue. Do so and you'll get a description of what you need. Totally worth it
