• These do not pair with your TV. There is a charging station that also acts as the transmitter as it is hooked into the back of the TV. I've owned a few different brands (usually Sennheisser), and they have all worked this way. The main difference between these and the Sennheissers are the batteries in the headset: Sony's battery can not be replaced. If the battery dies, the headphones are useless. Sennheisser uses rechargeable-replaceable batteries. These Sony's, however, are way cheaper than Sennheisser.
