• I don’t think it effects it at all on my 8, so I can’t imagine it would be any different for you on an X

• I have an I phone 7 and the lip is not high enough to interfere with the screen. I would assume it would the the same for the I phone X

• In portrait mode, no, there is enough space below the screen where the home button is. While in landscape mode, yes, sometimes it will take you an extra swipe or two to get the menu to show up.
