No this did NOT scratch my teens computer, it was also easy to put on. I liked it so much I bought one for my own Mac book!

The biggest issue I had while installing it was that little bits of fuzz (and glitter, from the gift wrap) kept getting under there. I removed and replaced the cover several times until I got it totally clean. The only scratches I have are on the surface of the case itself. I haven't had a reason to take it off since.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're careful when installing and/or removing the case, you will not scratch your mac. The case snaps on easily and looks nice. Make sure you wipe off both sides of the case before you start your installation. You do have to use some care if you need to remove the case like I did to add a decal on my mac. I have a new MacBook air and I'm happy with this case..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would go with Moshi's iGlaze instead. I own both the Speck and the Moshi and the iGlaze is hands-down the better of the two. The Speck didn't scratch my MBA when I took it off but I was VERY careful because I had heard it could happen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had any issues with scratching. As the MacBook case is anodized, it is fairly tough to scratch without intent. My clear Speck case looks great and I haven't seen the slightest indication of scratches.
