The night light has an on/off switch. You can definitely turn it off.

Very easy to use and easy to maintain. I love it, especially the level of forces you can select when it comes to the soothing air that it provides.

This is the first humidifier I have purchased so not sure if it is the same for all of them but I had to place a towel under neath it because the night stand was always wet in the morning. Or I might have it on to high.
