The device gets plugged into the OBD port on the vehicle, which is typically located under the dashboard - some vehicles have it more forward than others, in which case it would be more visible. If the visibility is a concern, we do have a hardwired tracker than installs under the vehicle's hood which would typically prevent detection, the installation is very simple and takes about 60 seconds for the average person.
