Q: QuestionHow many watts does this electric blanket draw ? If my engine is running, I do not need to use this electric blanket. Will it drain my car battery in 30 minutes ?
Asked by Johnny.
- A:Answer 45 watts. I don’t think you need to worry about such a low watt draw. Just don’t leave it plugged in.

Q: Questioncan you adjust the heat?
Asked by rsav1203.
- A:Answer No, and there is no on/off switch either. Plugged in is ON, unplugged is OFF. It reaches only one temperature, which is "warm" but not "hot", and then it self-regulates on and off to maintain that "warm but not hot" temperature from there. This will only happen if its being used as a base layer under you with other regular blankets over top to trap in all the heat.

Q: Questiongot this for my wife. no real instructions, but can it be folded and used as a seat warmer while driving????
Asked by awe51.
- A:Answer Unfortunately, when checking the tag it specifically speaks to how you should not sit on the blanket when plugged in nor should you fold or crimp it in any way. I've included a pic of the tag for your reference. Best of luck.

Q: QuestionCould I use this with my golf cart? Would it consume too much power?
Asked by JeffJG.
- A:Answer I use it on our golf cart and love it. We live in a retirement community where you can go everywhere in a golf cart in FL. We don't have hard sides on our cart we only have the zip down plastic sides so there are still areas cold air can blow in. This works great. I haven't noticed it using alot of power however I normally don't leave it plugged in when the cart is off. Hope this helps

Asked by RayMN.
This question was asked about the related product: Fleming Supply - Electric Car Blanket- Heated 12V Polar Fleece Travel Throw for Car, Truck & RV- Great for Tailgating & Emergency Kits - Green Plaid
- A:Answer Yes, you can. However, I would recommend you unplug it when not in use, keep an eye on it as these products are known to catch fire, especially if given to a child which is easily a hazard as a spill can happen in it. Adapter goes from 12-30 bucks depending on the quality and brand.

Q: QuestionDoes the key have to be on, in the ignition? That would use more battery power. Just wondering : )
Asked by Lis.
This question was asked about the related product: Fleming Supply - Electric Car Blanket- Heated 12V Polar Fleece Travel Throw for Car, Truck & RV- Great for Tailgating & Emergency Kits - Green Plaid
- A:Answer That would depend on your vehicle. The 12 volt power tap in our Nissan requires the ignition to be in the “accessory” or “on” position in order to provide power. In our F150 the power tap is active regardless of the ignition position. It would be important to remember that regardless of what is necessary for the power tap to provide power, if the engine is not running, using the blanket will drain the battery.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with the car off?
Asked by CuriousGeorge.
- A:Answer Yes it does, if your vehicle has a direct 12v outlet. Most vehicles 12v outlet only works with ignition key turned/on. ... I wouldn't recommended it if you have an older battery. If so, start vehicle in 20-30min intervals to be safe and not drain your battery. It's a good product, works as it should. I bought a second one for work truck.

Q: QuestionHow many amps of current does it draw?
Asked by Series6.

- A:Answer Depending on voltage, I have measured as low as 26 watts at 10.1 volts and upwards of 38 watts at 12.45 volts, my guess is it will be higher in a car with the alternator supplying 14.x volts maybe as much as 45 watts peak but that is just me guessing based on what I've measured in my living room with my lithium power pack that only starts out at 12.45 volts fully charged.
