A: I did a search on the internet, the answer is 4.5 amp. It is the same as 4.5a X 12v = 54watts. The portable electric heaters in our home use 1500 watts each.

A: 45 watts. I don’t think you need to worry about such a low watt draw. Just don’t leave it plugged in.
A: No, and there is no on/off switch either. Plugged in is ON, unplugged is OFF. It reaches only one temperature, which is "warm" but not "hot", and then it self-regulates on and off to maintain that "warm but not hot" temperature from there. This will only happen if its being used as a base layer under you with other regular blankets over top to trap in all the heat.
A: Unfortunately, when checking the tag it specifically speaks to how you should not sit on the blanket when plugged in nor should you fold or crimp it in any way. I've included a pic of the tag for your reference. Best of luck.
Q: can this blanket be washed?
A: Evidently not. Per one reviewer, the blanket cannot be immersed in water. It should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Q: The most important "specification", yet not listed. How many amps?

Q: Could I use this with my golf cart? Would it consume too much power?
A: I use it on our golf cart and love it. We live in a retirement community where you can go everywhere in a golf cart in FL. We don't have hard sides on our cart we only have the zip down plastic sides so there are still areas cold air can blow in. This works great. I haven't noticed it using alot of power however I normally don't leave it plugged in when the cart is off. Hope this helps
