- Answer The short answer is No.. The PS4 uses HDMI output. Most Computer monitors use VGA of DVI. This a DP (Display Port) to HDMI adapter. This is used for a PC using a DP to a Display (Typically a TV) using HDMI.

- Answer Older systems may not be using a display port, VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs were common on older models of desktops. I recommend doing a google image search to see what each looks like. Alternatively a search for your model of PC may reveal what connectors are on the back of it.
