- Answer you should be able to. as long as the data is still in tact you should be able to plug it into the dock and read it on another computer

- Answer The SDOCK2U313R is currently tested for up to 6TB size drives. However, there is no inherent limitation that would prevent a larger size of drive from working, and the SDOCK2U313R also has support for 4Kn (4K Native) drives. Atha, StarTech.com Support

QuestionCan I transfer all information (OS, photos, audio etc) from a existing 2.5" hdd in a laptop, to a new 2.5" ssd and then replace the hdd with the new ssd? No additional software or anything els will be required. Correct? Thank Basile V.

- Answer Yes, the Startech makes an exact copy of you hard drive OS and all files. stand alone. Doesn't need to be hooked to a computer. I have the SDOCK2U313R and works great

- Answer They make another unit Mod.# SATDOCK2REU3 that will do this for you, it's also cheaper. Hope this helps.
