• The headset has a physical mute switch you can feel change position depending on state, as well as a light on the mic you can visually check. Every function you can access with the controller you can also access from the headset using the dial and button underneath.

• Yes there is a mute button on the headset that has a tactile click in and out. The mic has a red led that indicates when the mic is muted. Very nice feature.
