Yes you can load the Xfinity Stream beta app on Roku. You get all of the same channels you are used to seeing using the Xfinity box, but you lose the ability to channel surf as easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes you can download the Xfinity app on the Roku and use instead of a set top box
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there is a Comcast app, beta version. Load the app, but make sure to use the comcast 2.4ghz wifi to configure and use. You can search comcast for how to configure the app, just log in to your comcast account and search roku. There's a 6 digit code needed that comes up when you're in your comcast account and the roku comcast app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, beta version. Load the app on your roku, launch it, select your 2.4ghz comcast wifi. Log in to your comcast account, search roku. Follow the comcast directions. Rather clunky menu, but using the 'favorites' feature helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has screen mirroring only through WiFi. Both what your casting, I.e. your smart phone and the streaming stick plus have to be connected to the same wifi service. As in you can't use your cells wifi hotspot to cast. But chrome cast is in of itself as Are apple cast tv and vizio cast screen mirroring windows cast. so they're not universal. But you are supposed to be able to cast in the instance I described. For example I want to cast Hulu from phone to tv I have to be connected on both the phone and tv to a home Wi-Fi not cell wifi. So what's the point. When you can just use the stick to stream Hulu. But I still as of yet got mine to work. Don't think you can buy this and not have a home Wi-Fi provider. Sure if can use my boost hotspot to turn on the stick but not cast what I'm watching that part is a joke. Everything else is good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Why bother with cable TV if you want to stream? Save your money and getting rid of cable TV package, keep your internet alone, then prescibe to HULU, choose your stream package, then stream away!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no Comcast app for Roku. That said, depending on your channel needs, there are a handful of streaming channel apps on Roku that can be linked to your existing cable subscription- (I believe apps such as HBO Now, Showtime, etc.). Roku is really a replacement for cable (a combination of Playstation Vue and SlingTV apps ended up covering all but a small handful of channels, and Vue includes almost all local channels,) and, in our case, is cutting our cable bill, also Comcast, dramatically. As a second cable box, Roku won't cover you. As a replacement to save you money, with the loss of maybe 5 channels vs the money saved, Roku's an excellent choice.
