• I believe as long as you have an HDMI port you can use this. My last TV was bought in 2009 and was not a smart TV and it had a couple of HDMI ports.

• yes will work on your tv but not sure what sling costs. We just switched from cable to youtube tv and it works great, and costs much less than cable
