The voice feature let's you search for shows using your voice instead of clicking the remote to search.

The voice remote feature is actually the main reason that I purchased this particular Roku + device. Prior to the Roku with the voice remote, if I wanted to find out if a particular program or movie was playing on Amazon prime video, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Redbox online, Spectrum, Youtube, or any of the other many providers - I would have to individually login to each service, search for the movie, and then logout and move to the next one and the next one. With the voice remote, I just hold down the microphone button and say the movie name, and the Roku finds the movie on any and all providers and tells you whether or not it's free - included in the programming - or if you pay per view and how much. I love this thing, and I even bought a replacement remote rather than logging in individually on each site. Highly recommended :)

I use it to search for what I want to watch. It’s better than having to type in your search. If you are not very tech savvy, the voice feature is a plus!
