It is for one TV at a time. You must have a device for each TV. But your ROKU "account" will be the same on your devices. I bought 2 sticks for the TV's in my remodeled basement and did not hook them to our cable provider. I can view pretty much whatever I wish through my home's wifi. Oh and if you ARE really a nursing student, good luck from this retired RN, and hang in there at school!
