“Will the remote control a soundbar (ie a universal remote)? Or only the Roku and a TV?”

• I have a Vizio TV and Vizio soundbar. The Roku remote handles the volume control for the soundbar just fine. I also have a home entertainment system and external bluetooth headphones connected to this TV. The Roku remote does not control the volume for those.

• It won't control my receiver, so it may not control your soundbar - unless it thinks it's a tv. But that is NOT a major consideration to purchase or not purchase one.
