Does this work with older model TV's null

As long as they have an HDMI port, yes. If you don't, some of the Roku Express models have the older composite connections.

If your TV has an HDMI port it will work. It will also work plugged into an audio receiver if you plug it into any one of the HDMI ports in the rear of the receiver. Just simply remember which port you choose such as DVD player or any other unused port.
