There are aftermarket twist throttles I Thu k would make it better for long distance
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The truth is a thumb throttle is a poor choice. It, and the pedal positioning are awkward, unfortunate choices for an interesting bike. I bought a Dirwin, which uses a half-grip throttle. Not an ideal solution, but easier to live with than the thumb. Bad idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The pedaling is a bit awkward especially when you go above 15 mph. But at level 2 and even level 3 you can pedal 3 times and you just coast. Very useful as when I commute to work as I am constantly stoping and pedaling a bit to give way to pedestrians or stop for street lights. Personally I thought I’d never use the pedals but I actually do use them and it’s not that awkward when you get used to it

With our one size fits most frame sizing on our RX, the pedal positioning can change depending on the height of the rider. When using the pedal assist that comes standard with the RX, the pedaling positioning is not as important as with a traditional bike. Also, in our experience, we have found that the thumb throttle is a much more approachable throttle for most users versus other types of throttles. I hope this helps answer your questions!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I disagree, but it is your product and you can certainly use whatever approach you find necessary. I'd not call a thumb throttle "approachable" when it runs counter to any throttle I've used on any powered vehicle at any time, i.e., my e-bike uses the half-grip option. Not a completely optimal solution, but certainly less counter-intuitive than holding down a lever as if one was pressing down on a video game controller button. I'd assume it can be converted to a proper grip throttle if I wanted anyway. Thank you for the response. Still considering this bike, as mods can be made for my needs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My E-bike is not yet with me, therefore i am not in a position to answer your question.
