- Answer If extensive reach is needed, consider VOE (video over ethernet). Adapters for BNC to VOE can be found online very affordably.

QuestionDaisy chained & outdoors in conduit?Can this be added to the 60' cable that comes with the system to = 160ft? It says "in wall", can this utilized in electrical conduit outdoors?

- Answer An adapter is included that let's you connect to the 60ft cable that comes with the Swann system if it's necessary. I used them outdoors. I put electrical tape over the connections to protect them from the weather. I've not had any issues and get a very good clean picture. I didn't put them in conduit. I used plastic cable ties and fastened them directly to the outside brick wall.

QuestionI have just added 4 x 100 ft extension cables to my 4 cameras. 2 cameras work fine but 2 of them have a hazy/jumping picture. My cables run through the loft down the cavity then under the floor to the DVR.

- Answer You can try. It depends on the age and quality of the cable. I did the same thing. It worked for a while but then I had video issues so I upgraded to HD cables (BNC + power). Works great now.

- Answer It should work as long as you have BNC connectors, i asked a bestbuy associate on the floor, it worked for me with a lorex system. same thing, if you have BNC cables, you could use a male adapter to join the 2 female terminals and use it as an extension. This cable actually comes with the adapter.

- Answer I purchased the same 720p camera system and bought some cables on amazon but did not work with my system. I found out that I need and SDI cable. It seems like you guys bought the right cable so I'm going to give it a try.

- Answer I had to special order three because product is not naturally carried. Not sure why if Best Buy sells the security systems. Extension cords should naturally be carried.

QuestionSo does the cable have to connect to the camera then run to the DVR box. The guy in the store just said the camera had to be plugged into electric and would connect via WiFi to the DVR box. Now after looking further I'm confused.

- Answer If your camera requires a BNC connection it is a wired camera and requires cable connections. They do make WiFi cameras if you want to go that route but if someone cuts your cable and phone line first thing.... Nothing for you!
