This unit will have 2 floodlights, record in 1080P, and Wireless. This also has a siren and night vision and can be remotely accessed through your mobile device. The biggest difference, is that Swann does not charge any monthly subscription fees.

A:AnswerThe manufacturer does not offer a solution for ceiling mount.
However, I was able to make my own mount using a weatherproof box and gaskets. A little creativity and using proper parts is key.
A:AnswerYes, rtsp is functional as of time of writing. It's not mentioned in the manual. Address is rtsp://admin:[email protected]:8282 If there's a way to change the password, I haven't found it.
Initial setup requires use of the mobile app with all permissions enabled and GPS on. No official desktop software. After setup you won't need the mobile app. I feel like I'm taking a gamble here. It's possible a future firmware update could be pushed to disable the workaround. Perhaps a Swann rep can comment to this effect. If and when that occurs, I'll be very unhappy as I depend on this video stream.
