- Answer No, this is a fully wired unit. An Internet connection is not required to operate the DVR.

QuestionDoes the system continually record or only when there's motion?

- Answer The unit is able to record 24/7 or when motion is deteced. The system comes with motion dectetion as a default setting. If you choose to record continously, you must adjust the settings of the DVR.
