A:AnswerHello MagM,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This unit will operate with a standard US AC adapter at 120V. This can use an adapter with this unit. We would recommend also using a surge protector for this scenario.

A:AnswerHello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. When connected directly to the recorder using the VGA/HDMI port to a monitor, you can use the mouse to navigate the menu to see both current and past footage. The same is applicable when remotely accessing your unit. For this, the only requirement is an internet connection to both the recorder and your mobile device.

A:AnswerThese are 5MP which is 2.4 times better than 1080P. you are able t add up to 8 cameras (including the 4 with the kit). We recommend using Swann cameras with the Swann DVR. We are not aware of third-party cameras specs nor are we aware of the outcome the cameras and the DVR would have with one another.
A:AnswerA TV is required for the initial set up. But it is not necessary after words. Once the unit is set up you are able to connec the DVR to a computer.
A:AnswerThis unit uses thermal sensing not motion activation. With PIR Thermal Sensing it will keep recording as long as there is something generating heat such as people, larger pets, cars etc.
A:AnswerThe cameras always record as long as the DVR has power. The internet only provides you a way to view when you are away from your house. You could easily add a UPS Power Backup if you were worried about losing power to your home for a long time. Best buy sells several, I would recommend at least an 1100VA+ back-up, larger if you want more time when the electricity is down.
A:AnswerThe cable is a combined BNC for video from the camera and a power cable to take power to the camera. There is a power plug to plug in by the DVR that powers the DVRs and the 4 cameras, that has a 5 way spiltter
A:AnswerHello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. The cameras will include 60 feet of BNC cable per camera.
