Yes, the DVR records when motion sets it off, and you can adjust the sensitivity. It will send an e-mail when the motion triggers it. The DVR unit can buzz when motion sets it off. You can set areas in the camera's view that will not set off motion activation as well. An awesome system.

Please try again later.Yes it does has motion activation already programed into the DVR and it also lets you know when it has been activated and the time frame to check when it was activated. On a Sprint Galaxy S4 phone it has been working very well and on my computer at work as well. If you are having problems around your area you will find out who is doing it with no problems.
