“Will this show you how close you are to a side wall? I can tell by the headlights how close i am pulling in. I need something that lets me know how close the passenger side is to the wall.”

I suppose it could be set up to let you know how close you are, If you get within 3 feet the green light would come on. The orange will illuminate when you come within 2 feet. The red light comes on at 1 foot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it does not show the side wall only the front wall, and you have to set it by 1;2;3 feet away. There is a button to press how close you want your vehicle to stop before hitting the wall. Never herd of one that tells you how close the side wall is.

It is super accurate and the garage door shuts within inches of the tailgate. Very cheap insurance. You'll have to experiment about the side wall.

Please try again later.Gayla My advice would be get another one and set distance different so when you pulled in to garage you will see it working, in fact before buying another experiment first . use the one you have . move it and try it first thats the best advice i can give, the sensor works on motion not lights it see the cars bumper , etc. Have A Good Day Susan
