Q: QuestionIf I choose to record 24/7 how long would the memory can store. 1, 2 days? and would it record over the last video?

• A:Answer Hi GoDucks. With 24/7 recording enabled you would likely fill the hard drive in 2-3 weeks. Once it's full then your newest footage will start recording over the oldest, and so on. -SD, Swann Team

If you wish to speak through the camera you would need one of our more advanced NVR systems or a Wi-Fi Camera which advertise 2-way audio. Q: QuestionCan this system record motion and view any activity while at the location of the NVR? Not interested in looking at any footage remotely. Or does the NVR need access to the internet to function.

• A:Answer Hello 12345. Thank you for your question. Yes, the system can be operated locally without any internet connection you just need a monitor for the initial set up. Once set up is complete, the cameras will record locally to the DVR even if there is no internet connection. You only need an internet connection if you’d like to view the system on a smartphone app or to update its firmware. Hope this helps. LV - Swann Team

Q: Questionwill this system work with 5Ghz wifi

• A:Answer Hi JimJohn. The DVR needs to be connected via network cable to your router in order to give it internet access if you wish to view remotely on your phone or update its software. Alternatively, we sell a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Antenna as a separate accessory (model code SWACC-USBWIFI) which can allow you to connect wirelessly without the cable. If you won't need to view it on your phone you can also choose to operate it as a local closed system without internet, in which case you would view the cameras on a monitor/TV connected to the DVR box. - SD, Swann Team

Q: QuestionOn my recent camera system it records 24/7 but if I need to go to playback it only shows what was motioned detected, where as my system before I could watch every second. Would i be able to watch every second?

• A:Answer Hello grouchy. Thank you for question. If your DVR is set to record 24/7 you can view the full recorder footage via your DVR when connected to a VGA or HDMI monitor. The app will only allow you to view shorter clips where motion was detected. Hope this helps. LV - Swann Team

Q: QuestionCan the cables be exposed to the elements? Can I run the camera cable’s outside the home? Laying on the roof with sun, snow, standing water etc?

Q: QuestionAre these cameras wifi with a 120v power adapter so I can plug them in?

• A:Answer Hello Clem. Thank you for your question. The cameras included in this system is wired connection not Wi-Fi. A power supply is included for your cameras as well as for the DVR. The most reliable way to connect your recorder to the internet is to connect an ethernet cable between the DVR and your router. Alternatively, Swann sells a USB Wi-Fi Antenna which you can plug into the DVR and give it a Wi-Fi connection instead, please search for model code SWACC-USBWIFI if you may be interested in this option.
