• I know the pixel size has a lot to do with the compatibility, with the Swann System. You have to have a REALLY strong internet connection system, to upload to your lap top, &/or I- Phones. The Geek Squad at Best Buy could better answer your questions, though.

• No, the camera requires a compatible DVR to function. You are not able to connect the camera to a laptop.
