It’s because on flat ground you have to constantly pedal AND use battery to fight the rolling resistance of the fat tires(draining both you and your battery) this bike does better on hilly areas letting you fly up the hills using assist mode without draining your legs then gravity cruise down the hill saving you and the battery(with the occasional throttle only to power through some spots). Either way, expect 25 miles total on a charge for hills or flat, assist or throttle, the max is about 25 miles(that’s if you pedal ALOT)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well I had mines since early October put about 220 miles going to work & back about 8miles there so about 16miles which I do tether from all throttle to ped assist every so often to conserve batt. I noticed if I do all throttle it juices the batt much faster. I have done an all throttle neighborhood run a couple times for about 10miles each trip & only depleted 1bar.

Our max range is measured on a smooth terrain with an average rider weight of about 165lbs, not maxing out your throttle after each start and stop. In winter months, please also note, battery maintenance is important, and because of cooler temperatures, you may not get the same range you do in warmer months. Hope this helps! Our In Motion blog will feature tips for winter e-bike maintenance mid-January to provide tips on how to maintain battery life and range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.maybe your October battery version is an upgrade, looks like my older battery is another generation. I will apply the warranty to this underperforming battery. appreciate you comment. kids who see me on it give me a scream
