Q: QuestionDoes the Nintendo -- Switch Lite require a memory card? What is the advantage of having a memory card? The device has one memory card slot so that's why I am asking. I'm a Mom trying to get a complete outfit for my kid's Christmas gift. Suggestions???

• A:Answer Game saves will use the internal memory only. Using a memory card is ideal for digital games and also games have large updates. This can fill up the built-in 32GB storage quickly. MicroSD cards can be pretty cheap. You don't need to buy the Nintendo licensed Sandisk ones if you don't want to, but can for piece of mind if you choose. They aren't special outside the art on it.

• A:Answer You can use joycons and pro controllers with this but it is really meant to be played as is, using the controls built in.

• A:Answer The switch lite comes with everything you need to play games. It also includes a charger. You do not need joy cons, as the controls are built in. Yes you can play Minecraft with your friends as long as they are playing on Nintendo switch or somewhere that supports cross play.

• A:Answer Look on the back of the game box. If game can be played in hand held mode. Then yes. To play like Mario party. Though you will have to sync up extra joy cons, or Just aDance, or 1,2 switch.Sync extra controllers to play.

• A:Answer The Switch Lite is perfect for kids, especially if you already have a regular switch. I have the regular switch but the kids ended up playing it so much I bought myself the lite. I ended up getting my older son one as well. I love playing it as I prefer handheld mode and we have the regular switch for when we want to play games on the tv. There is no reason to get a second full Switch unless your son has a tv in his room and wants to play on it. If you have multiple family members that play downloaded games I would keep the main Switch as the primary and make the lite the secondary one as only on the primary account can all users play any downloaded game. This will mean the Switch lite will have to connect to the internet for a second before it plays but that is only an issue when traveling and if you have a hotspot on your phone it works fine and only needs to be online for a brief time. If you don’t have the ability to hotspot when traveling then you can always switch the primary account for traveling and then switch back. So I would definitely recommend the Lite over the regular Switch for a second one and for a kid.

• A:Answer Basically you go in settings for both and choose one to send and the other to receive. So it has to be on one system at a time. Otherwise you have to pay for Nintendo Online to have Cloud saves.

• A:Answer Yes the graphics will be the same as the regular switch in handheld mode. (720p screen) The screen is slightly smaller that the regular switch but the same resolution so it may in fact look a little sharper because the pixels are smaller.

• A:Answer Yes, if you buy the Geek Squad warranty they will cover all damage, including bent game slot pins. That being said, I have used my switch for well over 2 years now and have never had any issues with the card reader pins (I buy all my games physical as well, so the game slot gets plenty of use).

• A:Answer I was able to find mine by going to the Nintendo sight and clicking purchase now. That linked me to stores that had them available. I did have to try for a couple of days but found early morning before 7 I had the best luck.

• A:Answer No you don’t you can subscribe to Nintendo online service for like 20 bucks a year. That’s service will give you 30 plus games of the original NES and 30 plus of the Super Nintendo. You just have to renew once a year
