If your Dell Inspirion 15 laptop has a HDMI INPUT port, the answer is "yes" if the laptop has a HDMI port, but it's OUTPUT, the answer is "no." This begs the question: isn't your Dell Inspirion equipped with an optical drive? DVDs and CDs - and, if the optical drive is also Blue Ray, all can be played through it, depending on if the software is in the Inspirion.
