Yes it's a $40 account credit. It's not actually minutes. If you are purchasing minutes at a certain rate and using the money from the card to purchase said minutes then your account would debited each time you purchased more minutes. If you have a prepaid account or a postpaid(contract) then it would credit you $40 towards your bill.

IT's your choice when adding it you pick which plan u want. monthly or pay as u go.
