A:Answer I saw this phone at red bullseye, same price. I believe the inside cover of the box it comes in shows the available plans, including the $3/month plan. Currently the cheapest prepaid plan I am aware of. For $3/month, you get 30 mins/texts per month (Use 'em or lose 'em). After 30 min/txt per month, you are charged $0.10/minute or text. This is a good low use plan. Not sure about activation cost if any, that would be one time, not monthly. I activated a different Tmo phone received as gift, no activation fee, just the cost of the card ($10). I would think this would be a good phone for your application. Call Tmobile with further questions. I wouldn't rely on someone's opinion based on answers from Verizon. I will likely buy one of these phones for each car to keep in glove box in case current phone dies/forget to bring it, etc. Don't even need to activate for that. Can use for 911 without activation, and can always dial 611 or *ADD (*233) to activate and add funds from the phone. Put your name on the account (along with child's if you want) so Tmo customer service will deal with you as well. You can always add funds even if you do not have the phone in your possession.
