Not at all. I have had my arlo cameras on both magnetic and non magnetic mounts and video quality/battery is unchanged.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the magnetic ball is a nice feature, and has no effect on quality. It helps is anjusting the angle of the camera easily, with no screws or hardware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not noticed any issues using these. I've had the cameras for a while now and haven't run the batteries down 50% yet. Feed looks as good as it did without the stands. So I would say no effect.
