I don't believe you would need a streaming service if you had a smart tv.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A smart tv should be able to obtain a TABLO app from an app store. You can install the app even though you do not actually have a TABLO on your network. If you can install the TABLO app, then you will not need a Roku or FireStick device.

Please try again later.I have a smart tv with Roku and my tablo unit is installed in the attic, but as long as you can download the Tablo app to your tv and connect to your WiFi it should work fine as the app downloads your shows and goes out to the internet to get the tv guide.
