• It does not. laptop must be plugged in to its adapter.

• It does not charge the laptop. The laptop would have to have USB3 charging for this dock to charge. Hope this helps, thanks Ren

• It charges it through the USB 3.0 Port that supports charging. If your asking for how fast it charges the laptop it is just as fast as the charger that comes with the laptop
