“does the keyboard automatically shut down when you close it? or do you have to select the "on-off" switch each time? I'm just wondering if you leave it "on" will it continue to drain the battery, or does it automatically turn off like the iPad does?”

the key board does time out when you close the case. the battery for the key board last a long time. i rarely turn the key board off.

I also shut the Bluetooth off when I am not using the keyboard of the Targus to save the charge of the battery. Then I still can use the iPad other than just a computer such as games etc.
