• Yes, this case has the edge magnets to automatically sleep the ipad when the cover is closed.

• No. The ipad, when the case is closed activates the sleep/wake function.

• I have had to flex the hinge area of the cover so that the cover moves more to the edge of the iPad and then it sees the magnet in the cover.

• I have this issue too, I just flip the IPad over and it shuts it off.

• You have to set an "alarm" to wake the iPad and also a time for it to "sleep". Power off.
