I b ought this TV because I wanted to turn it off by my google assistant mini ...it will turn off, but not on. I worried about losing the remote and not being able to activate it. Upon reading directions..there is an on/off switch under the light on the bottom of television. It works...reach past white light protector and there is a toggle.

At the very least you need to have the TV connected to your other Home devices list in the Google Home app. They also need to be connected through the same wifi network or they cannot "communicate" with each other. I have my TV connected to ethernet instead of wifi so I can't turn it on and off by voice. I can push the Google button on the remote to give the tv commands, including to turn off, but unless I want to use our unstable wifi service, then I can't use My other Google devices to turn it on and off by voice command.
