This TCL Roku TV comes with a standard IR remote which does not feature a mic or mic button. However, you can download the free Roku mobile app on your Smartphone or tablet to use as a remote. Through the Roku mobile app, you gain access to power toggle, volume toggle, private listening, voice search, and more. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

It now has the microphone but also a switch on the side to turn off the listening for your privacy. The newer remote also includes headphones for private listening. It is also rechargeable. Instead, it can be setup as a device withAlexa, Siri or google home and will respond using any of those platforms. This seems to be a trend with smart TVs but I miss the direct control.
